# Use FetchFox in Make with the HTTP module

Use Make’s generic HTTP module for a small transcript workflow. There is no dedicated FetchFox app to install.

## Configure a manual transcript request

Create a scenario with HTTP → Make a request. Store your key using the module’s API-key credential/keychain controls, with header name x-access-key. Avoid placing it in query parameters or exported scenario text.

1. Set the URL to https://api.fetchfox.net/youtube/transcript and the method to GET.
2. Add a query parameter named url containing the complete public YouTube URL.
3. Enable JSON response parsing. Run once and inspect the successful response.
4. Map data.transcript into your own document or database; preserve data.url and your retrieval time.

## Bound the workflow before scheduling

Begin with one manual request and confirm the one-credit charge in FetchFox history. Keep the scenario manual or weekly during the free trial; daily successful requests can exceed 20 monthly credits.

Filter failed responses before downstream actions. For 429, respect Retry-After; keep retries bounded and do not repeatedly retry missing captions. Make execution fees and FetchFox credits are separate. This guide configures a generic HTTP workflow, not a certified native integration.
